Who is the new Americ2005 Canadian Idol Top 10 finalistsa Idol?

Who is the new America Idol?

Carrie Underwood vs Bo Bice

The American Idol winner for Season 4 is Carrie Underwood. From Checotah, Oklahoma to Hollywood, Carrie Underwood at age 21 is well on her way. Joining chart topping American Idols Kelly Clarkson, Ruben Studdard and Fantasia Barrino, her new CD 'Inside your heaven' is sure to top the charts.

With over 100,000 contents in Season 4 American Idol, Carrie Underwood stood out from the very beginning. Setting a new record, over 5 million people voted for the Carrie Underwood and Bo Bice showdown, with Carrie coming out on top. Randy Jackson, was amazed that Carrie "hadn't already been discovered", while Simon Cowell although razed about being in love with himself said "America got it right".

We will definitely be seeing more of Carrie Underwood, but don't count Bo Bice out just yet, he may have come 2nd in American Idol, but it's very clear that he is still a winner and we will be seeing a lot more of him, question is as a soloist or in a band?

God and my parents. Will was one of the youngest singers on this season's show, and gained popularity with his boyish good looks, his Michael Jackson dance attempts, and the revelation that he was learning...Japanese! Millions of fans were disappointed and somewhat shocked to see him leave so early. The FORT recently attended a media interview with Will where he shared his future plans, his take on the comments from the judges and his potential plans to start acting.

Q: Many people were shocked by your sudden exit. Do you have any theories on what happened?

A: Well, I think I didn’t real feel connected. I listened to my performance and it didn’t really connect, and I think that that might have been the problem, but vocally, I really felt it there vocally, and I was really proud of myself with how far I made it, and this was a really big accomplishment for me.

Q. It’s interesting that you say that you felt like it was vocally good, which it was, but how do you connect? Is it just sort of you either do or you don’t? Or are there things that you do?

A. In my eyes, connection is really feeling the song, like what does that song mean to you? I guess I really didn’t show that. Really, it was an upbeat, and I was trying to have fun, which I did have fun. The audience was great and they were jamming out too, so that was good. But, I just didn’t really feel that connection right at that moment, and I guess that I should have. That would have helped me ten times more, just so much more.

Q. Do you believe Simon’s comments in particular affected the viewers, and possibly even your strong fan base?

A. Yes, I think America really listens to what the judges have to say, and I think when I heard it from Randy, it really hurt me, but I knew that how far I have made it, I need to keep my head high. I knew it. I made it really far, and I’m going to live this up. I’m sitting here being judged by three of the best in the business, so what can I do?

Q. And he did make it clear that you did get this far, and you were proud of that. With the star quality that you’ve been praised for having, do you think there’s any chance, or do you have any hopes of getting on another Fox show, such as the OC, or any other show?

A. I hope so, definitely. I think I’m working on acting. I’ve been working on acting for two years now, and I’m going to keep working on it. Whether it’s musicals or anything music, or even just plain acting. Music is what I love, and I’m going to definitely work to do whatever I can do. I’m going to study music. I’m going to study all that I can to become an all-around musician, and to do what I love to do.

Q. What kind of pressure is it for you to come up with a song, and what went through your head in picking the song that you did? Did you consider going alternative or anything else?

A. I chose that song, because I put a jazzy feeling to it, and jazz is like my favorite type of music. So, I chose that, because I wanted to put a little jazzy feeling to it, and I did a ballad the week before that, so I wanted to do an upbeat that really showed off my voice, and I made sure that it did. I really tried to bring it up there and do what I can, and vocally, I really felt like I had it, but, the connection was just not there.

Q. What do you have to say to the folks back home? What will you be doing when you get back?

A. Houston, you rock so much. I’m definitely going to be hanging out with my friends, and see those guys again. I’m definitely going to keep working with my future in music. Work with Tom McKinney and make myself better. I’d like to see Matthew Knowles. That would be cool.

Q. What do you think about all the support and viewing parties we held for you back home?

A. The viewing parties are so great. That really shows the Woodlands and Houston has just been so supportive of me, and that’s important. It really is important, because I know that I’m not in the top 12 or anything, but I know that people really did care, and they did vote for me. I know that I did really well in this competition. I’m very happy with how I’ve done, and the judges were really, really nice to me when I was leaving. They really gave me really good comments leaving the show, so that was really great to hear that. I know that the judges put me there for a reason, and obviously, America liked me to put me through two times.

Q. What did you take away from that whole experience? What are some important things that you will use in future pursuits?

A. Some things that I took from this experience? This whole experience has been unbelievable for me, because of the fact that I got to hang out. I now know the next American Idol, which is pretty cool to say, and I’m able to really learn from the people who were older than me, and the people that had a little bit more experience. I was also able to work with the best in the business, and that was just huge. You do this show, and you make it this far, you really learn so much about music in general, and music. I’m going to miss a lot of the people that worked for the show just as much as the contestants.

Q. What is going through your head two minutes before the show?

A. The performance show, I sit down and I know that I’ve already done a lot of the work. Now it’s time that I just go out there and do what I do. I kind of sit back and I relax, and right before Ryan comes up to me and says, “Alright, Will, so what are you going to sing? What are you going to do?” It’s a commercial, and I’m jumping around getting all ready for it, and Ryan comes up to me, and I just have a big smile on my face, because I’m just so ready. I’m just so happy to be in that situation. I know that I am making people really feel something when I’m performing, and I’m doing something right. If I’m singing a ballad, or if I’m doing an upbeat, if they’re dancing while I’m doing an upbeat, I’m doing something right. If they’re crying when I’m doing a love ballad, then I’m doing something right, and that’s what I love about music so much, is I can really make people really feel something. They feel the same emotions that I feel, and I just didn’t think that I brought that emotion when I performed.

Q. Regarding that, some of the judges had some harsh criticisms, and down here, they got a lot of boos. What was your reaction that you meant?

A. Randy and Simon know what they’re talking about. I take their criticism and I make myself better from it. Anybody’s criticism, I make myself better from it. I did this show knowing that I’m going to get criticized, knowing it, and I knew that if you want to do this show, then I have to be able to take criticism live on television in front of 30 million people, and I knew that, and I know I can take it. The judges respected that, and after the show, even though the judges gave me that criticism, I went up to them and I said, “Randy, thank you so much”. I said, “Simon, thank you so much”. Randy’s race was kind of like did he just say that? But, I respect those guys so much, because of the fact that they’re, in my eyes, really amazing in what they do.

Q. Have you even begun to think about reentering the contest, and who do you think might win?

A. Luckily, I’m not the one that’s making the decision on that one, America is. My vote probably won’t curve too much, unless it’s winning by two votes. But, I think that throughout, everybody is so unbelievable, and this is the hardest season for anybody to tell who’s going to win this show. Really, everybody is really amazing in the top 12, and they have something so special about them. That is just really great, and I’m really excited to see what happens. I’m really curious and everybody just needs to wait, and we’ll see.

Q. Do you have a personal favorite?

A. Every one of those guys I like in their own unique way. From Chris Daughtry being this great rocker and we love rock. From people to Kevin Covais, which is like this ballad great, great kid, I just like every single one of them, so I would not be able to pick a favorite.

Q. What is your next move?

A. I’m just going to work really hard to make my career. I’m going to start working on music, take acting lessons, work on all that type of stuff, to make sure that I can be as successful as I possibly can. If it doesn’t happen before college, then I’m going to go to college and work really hard in college. I love music so much, and music is what I love to do, so if anything, I really would like to be with one of those guys.

Q. Do you think it will be weird settling in, getting back into the regular groove of things?

A. I’m ready to go back and hang with my friends, and try to live the regular life, and be back with all my family and friends. I’m really excited to come back home. That’s really exciting to be back where I’m from.

Will

As far as why he thinks he was eliminated, Will said “Well, I think I didn’t really feel connected.  I listened to my performance and it didn’t really connect, and I think that that might have been the problem, but vocally, I really felt it there vocally, and I was really proud of myself with how far I made it, and this was a really big accomplishment for me.”  Will also added “In my eyes, connection is really feeling the song, like what does that song mean to you?  I guess I really didn’t show that.  Really, it was an upbeat, and I was trying to have fun, which I did have fun.  The audience was great and they were jamming out too, so that was good.  But, I just didn’t really feel that connection right at that moment, and I guess that I should have.  That would have helped me ten times more, just so much more.”
